Hope for every moment of this day

NKJ Psalm 138: ¹⁶ Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.

         And in Your book they all were written, 
         The days fashioned for me, 
         When as yet there were none of them. 




 NIV 1984 Psalm 139:¹¹ If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me 
   and the light become night around me,” 
¹² even the darkness will not be dark to you; 
   the night will shine like the day, 
   for darkness is as light to you.


In an effort to understand Psalms 139 to the best of my ability I have been studying it in several different trusted versions.  It has been interesting to see the variations of words and phrases and how each one says the same thing in a unique way, some of them triggering new understanding.  So today the verse I added was from the NIV, because I love the way the words speak on a very simple level gives it such a powerful visual to cling to! Inspiring child-like faith! After all, if God cannot see through or illuminate darkness us who were in darkness would have been doomed to hell! But how many times is that darkness more real to us when we are going through a hard time? The Arms that hold the universe are holding us, we can rest in them!
